Al Merrick Free Scrubber

The twin fi nned board that was primarily featured by Tom Curren in the recent surf edit Free Scrubber started as a customized project he worked on with Britt Merrick. This design was a recreation from a few diff erent magic Twin Fins Tom remembers Al making him some 40 years ago.

One of the key design features is the vee bottom that was on those early board he had. With a relatively low rocker combined with a classic small swallow tail outline and very refi ned rails, the Free Scrubber is surprisingly fast and loose, while providing plenty of hold.

The Free Scrubber is a spicey and quick all-around twin fi n that is user friendly; no matter the conditions this board will put a smile on your face.

Ride the Free Scrubber two to four inches shorter than your everyday shortboard.
