COMPARISON LOST RNF RETRO vs LOST RNF RETRO REVAMP:

We shifted the wide toe slightly forward, for forefoot boost, but gently narrowed/pulled back, the front 12" of the nose, to get it out of the way, in tighter turning situations.

We deepened the rear side cut, for bite and control, just below the rear foot and also added a bit of width to the tail block, for horizontal trim.

Without changing the tip or tail, we adjusted the curves of the rocker, both front and back. The tail rocker hangs lower in the back third of the surfboard, but then rises quickly, through the fins, creating more curve under the rear foot without really adding rocker. At the front, we did the opposite and took a more direct route to the nose, cutting out some of the curve in the front third of the surfboard. At the same time, we eliminated the slight front camber.

These rocker adjustments allow for a more modern, bold, upright approach, with a forgiving feel under the rear foot, for more precise pocket turns, without catching the nose.

We've brought the foil thickness further forward, adding more paddling power, ease of wave entry and front foot push, to balance the now more curvaceous tail rocker.

Lastly, we have deepened the double concave that runs along the back half of the surfboard and the vee that is already in the tail.

These advancements in a proven design have slowly evolved through 5 years of production and custom orders, but have never been implemented in our public program ....But now they have.

Since most of these improvements are subtle and often even barely visible to the untrained eye, we have decided to design a new logo, dyes and sprays, to give the RNF_RETRO a fabulous fresh refresh.

The dimensions and volumes remain very close to the original. If you loved a particular size in the past, the new version of the same size will certainly be on par in terms of dimensions and volume.
