The Swedish architect Sven Markelius was known for his sober geometric figures, often playing with repeated patterns and asymmetrical compositions, so it is not surprising that he found the inspiration for his textiles 'Pythagoras' in the work of the Greek mathematician famous for his equations describing triangular forms. By stacking fields of triangles of different shades with open-framed areas that remind us of windows, these patterns create a prismatic colour field that reveals the material behind it. With contours drawn from the boundaries of progressive surfboard design, these patterns embrace the future without forgetting the past, raising the curtain on what lies ahead.
The swallow-diamond tail answers the question: what will the fish of the future look like? While the angular nose fixes the front foot for precise control and turns on this little beast
