PYZEL PRECIOUS

The Pyzel Precious surfing surfboard came about when a friend asked Jon Pyzel for an all-rounder surfboard that he could take around the world and enjoy good surfing. "One surfboard to rule them all" was the request, and so the name Precious was born (Lord of the Rings fans will understand, others don't worry).

It's based on the Gremlin, as that surfboard is very versatile and fun, but we wanted it to be sleeker, with a more performance-oriented feel, with less width and less bulky edges.

To achieve that, and still maintain good volume on the surfboard, we decided to make it with a staggered deck. This allowed us to keep some foam in the surfboard overall, but at the same time have a responsive, high performance edge. By creating the stepped deck, it is also made concave, which adds stability and more sensitivity to the design, and seems to give a little extra boost to the paddling power.

Precious is easy to paddle, gets going fast and still has an agile, energetic, high-performance feel to get the most out of every type of wave.

Pyzel Precious Surfboard Highlights

Utilizing the DNA of the Pyzel Gremlin, it's a reduction with a flatter entry rocker and a subtle curve through the tail, which facilitates acceleration, speed and a fast, responsive turn.

The outline is narrower and more pulled than on the Gremlin, but still maintains speed through slower, weaker sections, allowing for improved flow and effortless glide.

The single/double concavity bottom provides lift and propulsion without feeling sticky on edge-to-edge transitions, and the wide V running from the wide tail block allows it to lean over its edge with ease, even at higher speeds.

Mount your Precious a few inches above OR below your height, depending on your surfing ability, add ½" to 1" width and order based on volume, not thickness, because the concave deck makes the surfboards look thin, but have more volume.
